Position Summary
We are looking for energetic, dependable, and engaging individuals to teach our signature six-week enrichment programs in local preschools.
As a Tiny Taste Buds Teacher, you'll travel to partnering schools, facilitate interactive food experiences, lead age-appropriate lessons, and create an environment where children feel safe exploring new foods.
This is an ideal position for educators, nutrition professionals, early childhood teachers, aspiring dietitians, or anyone passionate about helping children develop lifelong healthy habits.
This is a part-time 1099 contractor position, with hours varying based on teacher availability, class schedules, and experience.
As a welcome to our team, every new teacher receives a 60-minute private nutrition consultation with Tiny Taste Buds founder and nutritionist Layne to support their own wellness and deepen their understanding of our philosophy.Responsibilities
Teach 45-minute enrichment classes every week. Note: New teachers will shadow their first six-week series or lead DOE.
Prepare lesson materials and food supplies before each class (prep time varies depending on experience)
Create a warm, welcoming, and encouraging classroom environment
Guide children through hands-on food exploration and tasting activities
Teach basic nutrition concepts in age-appropriate ways
Encourage curiosity without pressure or judgment
Follow Tiny Taste Buds lesson plans and curriculum
Maintain food safety and cleanliness throughout each lesson
Set up and clean up all materials
Communicate professionally with preschool staff and parents
Represent the Tiny Taste Buds brand with enthusiasm and professionalism
Required Qualifications
Experience working with children ages 2–6
Background in education, nutrition, child development, child care, occupational therapy, speech therapy, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience teaching or leading groups of children
Reliable transportation
Ability to lift approximately 10–15 pounds and transport class materials
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to complete a background check
Ability to provide professional references

Compensation
