Created by a Mom Who Gets It
I created Tiny Taste Buds because I saw the same struggle everywhere—from my clients to my own dinner table.
Kids are getting stuck in picky eating patterns, daily food battles are exhausting, and parents wonder if children are getting the right nutrients.
After years of studying nutrition, behavior change, and the way habits, emotions, and identity shape our relationship with food, one thing became clear to me: these patterns start early.
So I created something different—an approach that helps children build confidence, curiosity, and lifelong healthy eating habits while making mealtimes more enjoyable for the whole family.
Our Mission
We help kids build a curious relationship with healthy eating that makes trying new foods feel safe and even fun!
Our programs are shaped by science and experience.
At Tiny Taste Buds, our approach is rooted in nutrition education, behavior change, sensory exposure, and research on child development. Food preferences are shaped by exposure, nervous system responses, sensory experiences, environment, modeling, and emotional associations, especially in early childhood.
Research shows that:
Kids often need multiple low-pressure exposures to a food before they feel comfortable trying it.
Sensory play and food exploration can reduce fear and increase familiarity.
Pressure, bribing, or forcing foods can sometimes increase resistance to eating.
Positive experiences and autonomy help children build lasting confidence and healthy habits.
Cravings are cultural. Kids are more likely to taste and explore new foods when they see their friends doing it too!
That’s why Tiny Taste Buds focuses on:
Repeated exposure without pressure
Curiosity over judgment
Play-based learning
Building confidence through small wins
Helping kids develop a positive identity around food
Patience, listening and small group learning
